Darl Christner, the leader of Delano Drive, developed his talents from an
early childhood love of music and classical training on piano and trumpet.
Influenced later by the Beatles and other pop groups of the 60’s and 70’s,
he transitioned to guitar and vocals and has performed professionally since
the age of fourteen.
Darl has played with numerous professional acts including M.C.A. recording
band Dillinger, recorded with Chicago guitarist Dawayne Bailey, and shared
the stage with David Allen Coe and E.L.O. He has also recently recorded with
legendary singer and songwriter Lynn Anderson for an upcoming independent
motion picture.
In addition to performing, Darl operated a home-based audio production
company, recording his own music and engineering projects for other artists.
Delano Drive has been going strong since 1992, delivering high-energy live
performances that span rock and pop favorites from The Beatles to No Doubt
across a wide range of genres.
